A breakfast of Hoeckele’s Doughnuts, a talk on living faith faithfully, an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, 12:10 p.m. Mass, lunch, a talk on the contrast of the Catholic faith with other faiths, adoration, and a tour of the Shrine Church.  Tickets are available at a cost of $35 per each. The annual Rosary for Life will take place at 6:00 p.m. in Shrine Visitor Center on Saturday, October 3.  Following the Rosary, guest speaker Mike Roberts will talk about the reasons for praying the Rosary.  Mike Roberts is an Emmy-award winning meteorologist. He worked at KSDK 5 in St. Louis until 2016.  He received the Archbishop Robert J. Carlson Excellence in Communication Award in 2014.  Recently, he has provided weather forecasts and The Saint of The Day for Covenant Catholic Radio along with teaching Theology at Marquette Catholic High School in Alton, Illinois.

 The Association will host the annual Fall Outdoor Mass at the Grotto starting at 5:00 p.m.  Father Clay will be the celebrant.  If it rains, Mass will take place in the Shrine Church.

The National Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal (Saint Mary’s of the Barrens Church) in Perryville, Missouri, will be participating in the 21st annual Christmas Country Church Tour. The tour will take place on December 17 and 18, from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The participating churches welcome visitors to view their Christmas decorations and to spend a few moments in silent prayer during the Advent season. Here at the Shrine, a tree will be decorated with prayer petitions from local students. There will be live music both nights from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served in the Visitor Center, where unique Christmas items, including nativity sets, will be on display.
